Pedrali at Salone 2025: Coney, Griante & Lamorisse in Focus

May 16, 2025

At Salone del Mobile 2025, Pedrali invited visitors to step into a curated world of atmospheres. The brand’s theme, Shifting Perspectives, wasn’t just a slogan—it was a guiding principle across a collection that blurred the boundaries between indoor and outdoor, softness and structure, tradition and evolution. Through immersive vignettes and mood-defining setups, Pedrali demonstrated its commitment to a more conscious, sensorial approach to design.

Among the highlights were three standout pieces—Coney, Griante, and Lamorisse—each interpreting the new perspective through a distinct lens of form, material, and purpose.

Coney 3645: Refined Simplicity in Polypropylene

Designed by CMP Design, Coney is a chair that balances formal elegance with everyday usability. Its monoblock structure in polypropylene features a sleek profile and lightly curved backrest, echoing a timeless bistro aesthetic. Yet, its true innovation lies in its construction—stackable, lightweight, and entirely recyclable.

For architects working on cafés, casual dining areas, or coworking lounges in Dubai, Coney offers more than utility. It provides visual continuity and long-term practicality. The chair’s muted color palette works in both minimalist and expressive spaces, while its understated design ensures it doesn’t compete with the overall scheme. In a region where climate resilience matters even indoors, Coney stands out as a quietly brilliant solution.

Griante 3800: A Soft Revolution in Seating

Designed by Robin Rizzini, Griante marks a shift toward softer geometries and residential comfort—even in contract settings. With its curved, upholstered body and tapered legs, Griante offers a welcoming posture without compromising on performance. The backrest wraps subtly around the sitter, creating an embracing gesture that’s both aesthetic and functional.

This hybrid character is ideal for hotel lobbies, high-end lounges, or flexible meeting areas where comfort and elegance need to co-exist. For Dubai’s hospitality sector—often bridging global luxury standards with local cultural touchpoints—Griante becomes a valuable addition. It’s a chair that suggests slowing down, even when the environment is designed for flow.

Lamorisse 3682: Lightness, Elevated

Named after the French filmmaker who captured the poetry of movement, Lamorisse is a modular seating system designed by CMP Design with visual lightness at its core. The seat and backrest, gently puffed and stitched like air-filled forms, are supported by slim metal legs or plinths that enhance the floating impression.

At Salone, Lamorisse was configured to show its versatility—from linear benches to L-shaped lounge corners. This flexibility resonates deeply with projects that demand adaptability without sacrificing aesthetic coherence. In the UAE, where multi-use environments are on the rise—from wellness areas to boutique hotel lobbies—Lamorisse offers a design-forward answer. The collection’s soft volumes work beautifully against hard architectural lines, bringing a human scale to open-plan settings.

Our Perspective: Subtle Impact, Lasting Impression

Pedrali’s 2025 presentation didn’t shout; it whispered. It reminded us that timelessness is not about staying still but evolving with care. As designers, we’re often looking for that fine balance between visual simplicity and emotional resonance—furniture that supports the space without stealing it. Pedrali continues to deliver exactly that.

At BE4 Design, we see real opportunity in how pieces like Griante and Lamorisse can soften the boldness of contemporary Middle Eastern interiors. In our own Dubai-based projects, these furnishings become punctuation marks—elevating hospitality and workplace environments through comfort, intention, and subtle drama.
