BE4 Design recently completed the fit-out and design for the EssilorLuxottica Headquarters in Dubai, working closely with Luxottica to bring this project to fruition. Situated in the vibrant heart of Dubai, this project presented an opportunity for us to apply our expertise in a way that aligns with the client’s vision and requirements.
Our involvement encompassed the comprehensive fit-out, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services, ensuring the office was fully functional upon completion. A distinctive feature of this project was the installation of soundproof double glass partitions with a chrome finish, all of which were locally sourced and manufactured in the UAE. These partitions play a crucial role in defining the office areas, offering both privacy and a modern aesthetic appeal.
The joinery work, including custom-made woodwork for doors and TV frames, was another area where our team’s skills were put to good use, adding warmth and character to the space. While the flooring choice was provided by the client, we introduced the “That’s It” chair by Quinti as the office seating solution. These chairs were chosen for their elegant design and high-tech features, complementing the office’s modern vibe and the sleek look of the glass partitions.
Furnishing the office posed its own set of challenges, particularly with assembling the desks supplied by the client. It was a learning curve for our team, but we managed to meet the challenge with determination and attention to detail, ensuring that everything was set up perfectly.
Completing the project within a month and a half was certainly challenging given the scope and our commitment to quality. Nevertheless, our team worked diligently to meet these demands, achieving a balance between maintaining high standards and adhering to the budget.
This project marks our fourth collaboration with the Luxottica group. It’s been a journey of mutual growth and understanding, and we’re grateful for the continued trust placed in us.
